"To have a souvenir of the exotic is to possess both a specimen and a trophy." Once when I went on a hike, I found this beautiful, unique flower which immediately caught my eye so I had to stop to take a photo. This "souvenir" stands out to me as both a specimen and a trophy.

"The souvenir reduces the public, the monumental, and the three dimensional into the miniature that which can be enveloped by the body." A photo of a photo came to my mind when I read this sentence because this "souvenir" creates the entirety of the night to this one little snapshot.

"Capacity of objects to serve of traces of authentic experience." This photo is from my high school graduation. I am holding my diploma which I believe stands for an object of authentic experience which would be high school.

"The body is the primary mode of perceiving scale." I chose this photo at Disney World to show the scale of all the people in front of the castle. It physically shows the size of the people compared to the large castle they are standing in front of.
